One Simple Trick to Increase Your Chances of Working Out by 2200%

Ever have one of those mornings where you wake up and tell yourself that there’s no way you’re working out today? Yeah, me too.

Sometimes the body is willing but the mind is just saying “hell no”.

And the “why” doesn’t matter.

Whatever your routine, whether it’s running, lifting, yoga, treadmill, sandbag training or P90x, some days you just say “f— it” and go back to bed…

…or go have a beer instead or a pizza or watch tv or play with your new phone or…

…ANYTHING but your workout, even if it’s only a 4 minute workout.


I get it.

Working out isn’t always fun, in fact for many it’s boring, for others a chore, for others a doctor ordered prescription.

So what do you do when you don’t feel like working out on one of your regularly scheduled workout days?

How do you avoid missing your workouts?

Most people just blow it off and think: “One missed workout is not that big of a deal”.

That logic makes sense. One missed workout in the grand scheme of things really isn’t that big of a deal.

The problem is that if you do that a few times, you start to seriously lose momentum.

And you don’t want to lose momentum, right?

You do NOT want to lose momentum. Next thing you know, instead of your regularly scheduled workout, you’ll be plopping your butt on the couch watching tv when you’re supposed to be exercising.

So how do you avoid missing a workout when you’d rather be doing anything but?

What’s the ONE strategy you could implement to exponentially increase your chances of working out?

Well, check out this study from Virginia Polytechnic University:

Researchers divided people starting a walking program into two groups (the type of exercise here doesn’t matter). Every week, each individual in one group got a phone call asking how their exercise program was coming along; the other group got no calls.

At the end of 24 weeks, 45% of the individuals who got the phone calls were still walking compared to just 2% who did not receive calls.

The results showed that weekly accountability increases the likelihood of sticking to your exercise program by 2200%!

Let that sink in for a moment. 2200%!!!

Listen, I know you’re smart enough to know that anything in your life that you ever accomplished worth anything, required accountability to pull it off.

Stop for a second and think about it.

Whether it was your education, your job or some other goal you’ve successfully pursued, they all required accountability.

In other words, you’ll vastly increase your chances of fat loss success if someone is helping you by holding you accountable.

You ever have a workout partner? If you have, I bet you were much more likely to actually do your workout if you didn’t.

So go find someone hold you accountable.

Look, you don’t necessarily need a workout partner or personal trainer, but if you can find someone to check in with you several times a week and is committed to keeping you on track, you’ll greatly increase your chances of sticking to your exercise program. Research proves this to be true.

So if you do one thing today, go find a like minded individual that’s willing to check in with you and hold you accountable.
